The story behind Horsepower Card Series

These Belgian mares, named Two and Seven, are part of the Jolly Lane Greenhouse family. They do their part: lending their horsepower to hayrides at the greenhouse located at 2962 Jolly Lane in Rapid City, SD.

The folks at Jolly Lane asked me to come out and meet the horses in October, 2004, after they had seen my "Truck Series" . They were working that day giving free hayrides with their very own spiffy, little wagon.

I drew a sketch with a special winter scene for the Jolly Lane Greenhouse Christmas card. "Two and Seven Make a Team"

My family loved the horses so much that I created a special little notecard set. You can buy a set of four cards (4x5) on sturdy white cardstock for $3.99.

After much trial and error, I have found some marvelous Arches paper made especially for inkjet printers and digital reproduction. The paper is archival, museum quality - a gorgeous, rich white. The layout is ideal for an oval mat. Cost for each reproduction $12.95.
